The idea
A good tax routine is not about doing more — it’s about doing a few small things consistently.
This is practical guidance, not legal advice.
During the month (5 minutes at a time)
1) Record income as it happens
- Add each payment as a separate income entry.
- Keep the date consistent (use one rule and stick to it).
If you often receive USD/EUR, read: /en/blog/foreign-income-and-exchange-rates/
2) Add a note when something is unusual
A tiny note helps later for:
- partial payments
- refunds/corrections
- “test” transfers
Once a week (2 minutes)
- Quick scan for duplicates.
- Check if anything landed in the wrong month.
End of the month (10 minutes)
1) Review the month
- Are all entries in the correct month?
- Are currencies correct?
- Is anything missing?
If you want a checklist of common issues: /en/blog/common-mistakes-that-cause-tax-stress/
2) Finish the declaration
Taxocat supports two ways:
- Manual: you submit outside Taxocat and mark as sent
- Auto: Taxocat sends it (requires integration)
Read: /en/blog/manual-vs-automated-submission/
3) Save proof for peace of mind
Keep a simple folder for each month (PDFs/screenshots/exports).

If you only do one thing
Record income on the same day you receive it. Everything else gets easier.
