The short answer
Taxocat supports two ways to finish a monthly declaration:
- Manual: you submit outside Taxocat, and then mark it as sent in the app.
- Auto: Taxocat can send it for you (requires connecting your Revenue Service account inside Taxocat).
Both modes help you keep your month organized — the difference is who actually sends the declaration.
Why there are two modes
People handle taxes differently:
- Some prefer a fully automated workflow.
- Others want to stay in control and submit manually (for example, if they already have their own routine).
Taxocat is designed to work in both cases.
Manual mode (mark as sent)
Choose Manual if you want Taxocat mainly for:
- tracking income during the month
- seeing the monthly total in one place
- keeping a clean timeline of what you submitted
In Manual mode:
- You prepare the month in Taxocat.
- You submit the declaration using your usual method.
- You return to Taxocat and mark the declaration as sent.
Taxocat does not send requests to the Revenue Service in this mode.
Auto mode (Taxocat sends it)
Choose Auto if you want Taxocat to:
- prepare the month
- and then complete the submission steps for you
To use Auto mode you’ll need to connect your Revenue Service account inside Taxocat.
When you use Auto mode:
- Taxocat communicates with the integration over HTTPS (encrypted connection).
- Taxocat sends only what is needed to perform the requested action.

Which one should you choose?
A simple rule of thumb:
- Choose Manual if you just want a clear record and prefer to submit yourself.
- Choose Auto if you want to save time and reduce routine clicks.
You can also start with Manual and switch later — the most important part is keeping your income records accurate.
